Many of our pupils have gone to have success

  • Our old student Steven Butler, who as a successful dancer, actor and singer, has published his own series of children’s books “The Wrong Pong” and has been shortlisted for The Roald Dahl Funny Prize Author. He has also recieved rave reviews for his performance in Lost Boy at Charing Cross Theatre

     

  • Our old student Oliver Lansley, who judged our Meopham drama competition in March 2013. He has just appeared in BBC2 “The Wrong Mans” with James Corden, and his own screenplay for channel 4 is currently being filmed with Sheridan Smith in the lead role.

 2013

Jocelyn MacNab has completed filming “Topsy and Tim” for CBeebies, and you can catch her playing Topsy everyday on the CBeebies channel or BBC1.

Molly Harmon is currently filming in a famous BBC TV drama which will be aired later this year.

Luke Jones and Olivia Hatcher successfully auditioned and are appearing in professional pantomime at The Hazlitt Theatre, Maidstone this Christmas 2013/14.

Amy Cotterill and Esther Shelton successfully auditioned and are appearing in professional pantomime at The Woodville Halls, Gravesend this Christmas 2013/14.

Phoebe Revell auditioned for Matilda, the West End Show. She has made it through the drama audition and the singing audition, and has been recalled for the Matilda ensemble dance audition in January.

As a consequence of this, the casting company have now requested some more of our students who train in drama, singing and dance under 4’5″, aged between 8-11yrs old, and to a dance standard of grade 4, to submit applications for audition. If you would like to be considered to be put forward by the school agency, and represent us, please contact Amelia or Debbie as soon as possible.

 2012

• LAMDA have chosen our drama pupils to be filmed as the new Acting Examination Syllabus DVD for 2013. 84 studentss will be performing and being filmed for the Syllabus DVD, the LAMDA Examiner Standardisation DVD and teacher training film for LAMDA.

Steven Butler, our first graduated student, is appearing in the West End Production “The Wizard of Oz”, 2012.

• Constance Passingham achieved the drama scholarship for Kent College School.

• Jocelyn McNab acting in ITV1 drama series.

 

 2011

• Fifty five of our pupils performed a medley showcase at Disneyland, Paris on 28th July 2011.

• Ciara Foster appeared in pantomime Sleeping Beauty at The Woodville Halls, Gravesend, Kent.

• Laura Hamilton our patron, came second in this series of ITV’s “Dancing on Ice”.

• Our Advanced Jazz class performed at Kent County Council “Awards Ceremony”.

• Our Starlight Professional dance Troupe performed “Moulin Rouge Spectacular” for corporate events across Kent.

 2010

• Seventy pupils performed our version of Now or Never from High School Musical 3 in the production “Stars in the Round” at The Royal Albert Hall in May 2010.

• Francesca Rice auditioned successfully for The National Youth Theatre.

• Ciara Foster performed in Professional Pantomime at The Central Theatre, Chatham.

• Kiera Flinn and Ryan Cottee performed in Professional Pantomime at The Hazlitt, Maidstone.

• Miranda McRitchie achieved the drama scholarship for Cobham Hall School for Girls.

• Phoebe Revell, Charlotte Addy, Georgia Addy, Charlotte Cheesmer, Niamh

Begley, Nel Coe, Elise Davenport, Mia Davenport, Leila Hall, Alisha Patel, Elizabeth Payne, Scarlett Rowswell, Bethany Salter and Darcy Williams performed as the Fairy godmother’s fairies in Cinderella at The Woodville Halls, Gravesend, with Kim Woodburn from channel 4s “How Clean is Your House?”, BBC Radio Kent’s Paul James and Chelsea from BBCs “Tracy Beaker”.

• Eddie Osborne achieved a place in the Sport Acro Youth group “Spellbound” who won Britain’s got Talent.

• Oliver Ebsworth and Scarlett Osborne successfully auditioned and were filmed for a new BBC2’s drama series documenting children starting school “New Experiences”!

• Anne-Marie Rossiter has achieved a place in the prestigious National Youth Theatre.

• Ella Shire will be in the new BBC’s Basil Brush show, as a one-off part, having got down to the final two for the permanent part.

 2009

• Katie Franklin performed in The Wizard of Oz Professional Pantomime at The

Woodville Halls, Gravesend, Kent, as a senior dancer.

• Kiera Flinn performed in Professional Pantomime at The Hazlitt, Maidstone.

• Ann-Marie Rossiter performed in the National Youth Theatre Summer Workshop.

• Rosie Ebsworth performed with The National Youth Ballet.

• Ryan Cottee performed in The Wizard of Oz Professional Pantomime at The

Woodville Halls, Gravesend, Kent as a juvenile dancer.

• Amy Craig was recalled by CBeebies for a screen test on a new drama series. She got down to the final four under our Star Agency.

• Steven Butler our first graduated student from The Amelia Appleby School of Performing Arts played Horrid Henry in the “Horrid Henry” National Tour 2008. He finished playing “Peter Pan” at Croyden’s Fairfield Halls with Brian Blessed; andgained the part of Romeo in the new hit musical of “Romeo & Juliet” 2009.

• Starlight Dance Troupe our Professional dance troupe containing selected pupils (from in-school auditions) performed a Bollywood spectacular for Euro Tunnel Christmas Festivities. Congratulations to Oliver Bylett, Ellie Twigger, Amy Craig, Sydney Moore, Katie Franklin, Hayley Skidmore, Sarah Creber and returning ex-students Sarah Fox, Nikaela Drynan and Sarah Walker.

• Twenty four of our own students appeared as munchkins in The Wizard of Oz

• Katie Franklin and Ryan Cottee appeared in the professional pantomime of “Snow White” at The Woodville Halls, Gravesend, Kent.

• Chris Daniels spend an amazing week producing TV commercials with a top London Media Company.

• Jenny and Phillip Harker provided the acting voice-overs for Paris Hilton’s commercial video network.

 2007

• Paris Noble has been accepted into the Junior Department of the Royal College of Music.

• Sarah Fox, Charlotte Dand, Lauren Tovey and Rebecca Harry appeared in The National Youth Ballet’s production of “The Nutcracker”.

• Michael Rowlands appeared in the ITV series “The Complete Guide to Parenting”.

• Katie Walker has appeared in an episode of BBC TV’s “Casualty”.

• Eve Brand appeared as a dancer in the professional pantomime of “Aladdin” at The Hazlitt Theatre, Maidstone, Kent.

• Danica Moore is playing the part of Lena Marelli in the Debbie Feast production of “Bugsy Malone” at The Brook Theatre, Chatham.

• James Jollie is also appearing in “Bugsy Malone” at The Brook Theatre, Chatham.

• Nikaela Drynan and Tessa Burraston got through into TV’s 2006 X-Factor, and Tessa attended their “boot-camp”!

 2006

• Sammie Oliver has been appearing in professional pantomime “Beauty and the Beast” at The Woodville Halls, Gravesend, Kent.

• Sam Roberts has been at the Central Theatre, Chatham in “Peter Pan”.

• Paris Noble has been selected for the Kent Youth Choir

• Leanne Taylor is jetting off to Puerto Rico in December to defend her World Freestyle title (Tae Kwondo).

• Leah Burgess appeared as Anne Frank in a recent school production and received rave reviews.

• Katie Walker appeared in the West End Production of “Les Miserables.”

 2005

• Ten of our boy pupils appeared as The Lost Boys in Peter Pan at the Woodville Halls, Gravesend, Kent.

• Toby King appeared as John in Peter Pan at The Woodville Halls, Gravesend, Kent.

• Michael Rowlands appeared as Chip in The West End, and then National tour of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.

 2004

• Twenty two of our own pupils appeared as Munchkins in The Wizard of Oz professional pantomime at The Woodville Halls, Gravesend, Kent .

• 85 of our pupils performed at The London Palladium in our version of “Hercules”.
