Modern Dance is the half-way meeting point between Ballet & Jazz. It
is designed to give the dancer style.
Pupils learn a syllabus of
technical amalgamations and routines from Primary, through the grades, and
on to Senior work. Modern dancing includes many styles like Jazz, Lyrical,
Samba, Spanish, Bossa Nova, Beguine and many more.
Examinations are taken in the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD).
